Our mission

"Develop in each participant the degree of technical competence that would allow the graduate to be employed as a remotely operated vehicle industrial / research career opportunities"

The Competition was designed with 5 main objectives:

 

  1. Be successful in understanding, formulating, analyzing, and solving a variety of ROV problems

  2. Be successful in integrating hardware with software systems

  3. Have the ability to assume leadership and entrepreneurial positions

  4. Successfully function and communicate effectively, both individually and in multi-disciplinary teams

  5. Understand the importance of lifelong learning, ethics, and professional accountability

 The specific learning outcomes:

 

  1. To understand the concepts of electric and electronic circuits

  2. To identify different electric and electronic components

  3. To know how to design PCB boards

  4. To know the basic idea of ROV design

  5. To understand the concepts of Material Structure and pressure housings.

  6. To grasp the knowledge of ROV Buoyancy and Maneuvering.

  7. To know how to design ROV parts using Solid Works.

  8. To know the basic idea of ROV design

  9. To understand the concepts of Servo, DC motors, and their control system.

  10. To grasp the knowledge of Analog inputs and outputs using hardware microcontrollers.

  11. To know different communication protocols.

  12. To gain knowledge about ROV sensors and their hardware interfaces.

  13. To understand the concepts of ROV power system and ROV vehicle control, design, and stability 

  14. To know different Vehicle sensors and communication.
